1. Billion Dollar Computer Services Firm

2. Large Metropolitan Bank

The Bank reviewed its human resources function in the area of temporary and contract staffing. It was determined that the Bank should explore the advantages of consolidating services and selecting only three or four staffing firms with which to do business.

3. Food Distribution Center

The Food Distribution Center had a process for the use of temporary support staff that only used three staffing firms to provide their company with temporary personnel. At the time it was felt that “no one firm” could provide them with the quantity and the quality of personnel they needed on a consistent basis.

After two years, they discovered they were unable to achieve a consistent level of support from two of the three firms.This was because there was no “commitment” from the Food Distribution Center to any one temporary service firm.
